ABB's LGR-ICOS new ground-breaking Microportable Greenhouse Gas Analyzers (M-GGA-918 and M-GPC-918) report fugitive emissions measurements of methane and carbon dioxide simultaneously in a 5.4kg, handbag-size, package that is compact and crushproof. Small enough to be carried on-board aircraft (TSA approved size) and requiring less than 35 watts, the M-GGA-918 and M-GPC-918 travel anywhere, initiates data collection within 20 seconds after power up, may be operated wirelessly with a smartphone or tablet, and opens up new opportunities to measure methane and carbon dioxide everywhere. For example, this instrument allows measurements of natural gas leaks while you walk with a sensitivity that is more than 1000 times better than conventional methods based on flame ionization. This allows leak detection from distances far from the source and with much greater reliability.
As with all LGR-ICOS instruments, the M-GGA-918 and M-GPC-918 are simple to use which makes it ideal for field studies, compliance monitoring, leak detection (e.g., natural gas, coal seam gas, coal bed methane), air quality studies and soil flux studies, and wherever simultaneous measurements of methane and carbon dioxide are needed.
EnquiryFurthermore, the M-GGA-918 includes the “Extended Range” option which allows accurate methane measurements at % level (without dilution) without reducing precision and sensitivity at typical ambient levels - a unique capability. The M-GPC-918 can provide an extended range option up to 1000 ppm.
For simultaneous, reliable and accurate measurements of nitrous oxide (N2O) and/or carbon monoxide (CO), without cross interferences, ABB now offers our N2O/CO Analyzer in a portable package. Similarly, for simultaneous, reliable and accurate measurements of ammonia, methane, carbon dioxide and water vapor, ABB now offers our Soil Gas Analyzer.
ABB’s patented technology called Off-axis ICOS, a fourth-generation cavity enhanced absorption technique, has many advantages (simpler, easier to build, rugged, less expensive) over older, conventional cavity ringdown spectroscopy (CRDS) and direct absorption techniques. As a result, LGR-ICOS Analyzers provide higher performance and reliability at lower cost.
Quite simply, no other analyzer provides higher performance, reliability and ruggedness.
